However, as with any mountain adventure, unexpected risks can arise. To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, we strongly recommend following our safety guidelines

Via Dinarica Kosovo has taken significant steps to improve the safety of hikers and visitors by providing specialized training and enhancing the skills of mountain guides. These guides have undergone intensive training and are certified under UIAA (International Climbing and Mountaineering Federation) and UIMLA (Union of International Mountain Leader Associations) standards, ensuring maximum professionalism and efficiency.

Additionally, the initiative has supported the Kosovo Mountain Search and Rescue Service, strengthening its response capacity with modern equipment and specialized training. This includes advanced communication tools, medical resources, and ongoing operational training. This dedication to safety not only enhances the hiking experience but also establishes a solid foundation for sustainable outdoor activities in the region.

In the event of an emergency in the mountains, remain calm and assess the situation. If possible, move to a safe location and check for injuries. Use a whistle, flashlight, or brightly colored clothing to attract attention. Gather the following critical information:
